Why You Need This Monte Bello Swag Hybrid

We created these hybrids as we realised there was nothing on the market that had the benefits of a swag and a tent together in one. We originally intended for it to be a compact design that was stronger than competitors with smarter features, so that we could use it to save space but still stargaze on our island trips, as well as one we keep in the car for a super quick set up for when you want to pull over for a sleep and not be bothered with any long set ups. Once we started using it though, we loved it so much it's actually replaced our swag.

There is nothing on the market that brings together the features you love in a swag and also a tent.

Ultra quick set up
Our Monte Bello pops up by throwing it on the ground, then just slide in one pole and you're done.

Completely freestanding
Stands up without needing any pegs or tie down points, although they are included if you prefer to secure to the ground.

Stargazing ability
A feature lacking in tents, you can tie up both sides and your head section for an almost all-mesh visibility.

Quickly bunker down
It was critical for us to be able to set up for stargazing, but be able to quickly bunker down if weather came in without getting up like you have to in a tent and some swags.

Storm proof
Swags are all waterproof – until a pool of water forms, then it spreads the canvas and drips inside. Unlike many swags, our design does not allow any pooling. At PU5000mm, it is more waterproof than your common swag, and matches only the highest quality mountaineering tents.

Compact & Lightweight
At 1.76kg and a flat 50cm diameter when packed, it's perfect as a keep-in-your-car backup for the quick side-of-the-road sleep, or for boat camping where space is tight.

3 internal pockets, 1 above your head and one on each side to keep your phone, headtorch, glasses etc safe even if sides are rolled up when rain comes in.

Tiebacks are designed to stay tight and avoid flapping in the wind. We all hate the flapping of tents!

Thick floor fabric to handle rough use on rocks or in the boat cabin.

Our carry bag includes space for the tent and an inflatable mattress.
